A Little About Myself!
My name is Cassaundra Grace Fernandez, I have been a teacher for NISD since 2007. I love, love, love Social Studies and I am very excited about being your U.S. History teacher this school year. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I have been married for eight years and I have three awesome children. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University Kingsville and recently received my Master's degree in Principal Administration from Concordia University.
I am dedicated to the process of student learning and achievement. I believe in resourceful and professional education with the ability to create and monitor policies and practices that promote a safe learning environment. My goal is to ensure a school culture that encourages continuous improvements for teachers and students, the development of an environment that encourages open communication with colleagues, students, and the community, and mentoring educators in the creation and implementation of class instruction, lesson plans, and student assessment in conjunction with state learning regulations. I have a strong desire to be a positive leader. I am a firm believer in collaboration amongst teachers, staff, students, and the community.
